WHICH NATURAL STONES FOR WALL CLADDING?

There are different types of natural stones. Here are the most notable:

  • Marble

Marble is one of the most sought-after natural stones, and it is no coincidence, because they are also the most beautiful. It still looks like it has the perfect shine. You can find it in different colors, but one of our favorites is white marble. This quarry stone is heat resistant and easy to maintain, so it doesn't require a lot of work to maintain its shine. Thanks to its many advantages, it is used from wall covering to bathroom counters. For decoration, it is the best choice, whatever the use that is made of it.

  • Granite

Granite is one of the toughest quarry stones. That is why it is most often used as a kitchen counter. Similar to marble, it has a long lifespan and is not labor intensive to maintain, as long as it is washed regularly and no abrasive products are used, you will be able to have a coating. with great versatility and resistance.

  • Quartz

It is a consistent stone with great resistance. It has a variety of color options. It can also be used as a bathroom counter, kitchen counter and flooring. This is the best option if you are looking for specific colors.
The proof in pictures with tiles which, back in the wind, de-ringardise the slightly outdated image that sticks to our heads. It's no bad luck that tiling that uses the hodgepodge technique gives your walls the look of granny's patched blanket. In the bathroom, it is even an ideal type to bring a facelift to the decor by dressing the basement, above the water point, for example, to personalize the interior of the shower, combined with a more neutral tiling on the ground. Or vice versa... Also perfect for delimiting the space granted to the bathroom if it is open to the bedroom, placed like a wall hanging and a rug. With the principle of patchwork, love and compose as you want!

Often imitating the style of cement tiles that draw their inspiration from the 1900s, the patchwork on porcelain stoneware tiles features mixtures of tones or patterns that are not necessarily as random as they seem. Admittedly, there are a majority of 20 x 20 cm formats which are designed to be freely combined with each other, but more and more manufacturers are also offering "montages" in 20 x 60 cm format which equal the alignment of three tiles, and are therefore quicker to install, with no possible layout error.

No fear either of a “harlequin” effect, patchwork tiles play more on “soft” harmony than garish color combinations. The trend is towards melted tones, in discreet shades of beige... The industrial style being popular in the bathroom as elsewhere, the coverings are increasingly adopting a "used" aspect with surfaces that seem "erased" by the time spent.
